GLOSSARY
The Category's Vocabulary, in Turkish and English
GEO, AEO, fanout, citation share: teams measure different things because different terms describe the same idea. This glossary fixes the definitions we use in the console and in reports.
CORE TERMS
Twenty Terms, One Definition Each
GEO
All measurement and content work aimed at being selected as a source in answer engines.
AEO
Describes the same work and is the category leader's preferred term.
Citation Rate
The share of tracked answers in which your brand is shown as a source.
Share of Voice
Your mention count as a share of all mentions in the category.
Mention vs Citation
A mention is your name appearing, a citation is the answer being grounded in your page. The second is worth more.
Fanout Query
The sub-questions a model runs on its own behind the main query.
RAG
Retrieve, Augment, Generate: the three-stage process producing an answer.
Llms.txt
A text file telling models which content matters and how you prefer it read.
Ai.txt
A file defining permissions and usage rules for AI bots.
Search Bot
A bot fetching live content while answering. Block it and citation ends on that platform.
Training Bot
A bot collecting content for training. Blocking it does not directly end citation.
Answer Format
Writing that answers directly in the first two sentences, supported by tables and definitions.
Prompt Universe
The fixed prompt set a brand tracks regularly under identical conditions.
Prompt Volume
A modelled metric for how often similar prompts appear in a period.
Citation Drift
The gradual shift in which sources get cited for the same prompt.
Zero-click
The pattern where a user takes the answer and clicks no link.
Entity
The single brand identity a model recognises. Merging variants corrects measurement.
E-E-A-T
Experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust signals, decisive in the Augment stage.
Agent Readiness
How accessible, readable and quotable a site is for agents.
Visibility Score
A composite measure out of a hundred weighting mentions, citations and position.
