The Coffee Sector AI Visibility Report
“Which espresso machine is good for home?”, “Where can I buy specialty coffee beans?”, “What are the best grinder brands?” — these questions no longer go only to Google but straight to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The model does not rank dozens of results; it recommends specific brands. Competition shifts from ranking high to being one of the brands inside the answer. We measured who makes that shortlist in coffee: 8 unbranded queries, three models, 24 answers.

02 / CRITICAL FINDINGS
Every category has its own visibility dynamic
Global brands lead coffee equipment
Technical specification, long reputation and multi-source review signals shape equipment shortlists.
Local roasteries are strong in specialty coffee
Brands publishing origin, process and roast profile clearly come forward.
Traditional and specialty coffee form separate clusters
Kahve Dünyası leads traditional, Petra specialty, while Tchibo bridges both.
Consensus is stronger than a raw mention total
Brands recurring on all three models carry a more consistent trace across the web.
03 / THE RANKING
Overall ranking
Across all 24 answers, Kahve Dünyası and Petra Roasting Co. share first place with seven mentions each.
04 / THE CATEGORY BREAKDOWN
Every category has its own leader
The overall ranking alone does not explain category leadership.
Espresso → De'Longhi
Sage/Breville and Philips are also strong.
Filter machines → Moccamaster
A clear leader on its category query.
Specialty beans → Kronotrop
Petra and Coffee Department appear on all three models.
Turkish coffee → Mehmet Efendi
Selamlique and Kahve Dünyası also sit in the consensus cluster.
Grinders → Baratza
Eureka, Comandante and 1Zpresso were recommended on all three models.
Instant coffee → Nescafé
The category concentrates around one global name.
Cafés → Starbucks
Kahve Dünyası leads locally.
Online retail → Coffee Department
The commercial end of the specialty cluster.
In traditional search the goal was a higher ranking; in AI search it is being one of the brands recommended inside the answer.
