Türkiye Software & Technology AI Visibility Report: Why Enterprise Vendors Are Missing from the Answer

Measured on Brantial’s weekly index, the most visible names in Türkiye’s software and technology sector are game studios, payment providers and IT integrators. The companies that sell enterprise software to Turkish businesses — including a BIST-listed vendor with more than 200,000 customers — do not appear in the top twelve at all. This report publishes the measurement, examines what the visible brands share, and explains why sector size and answer-engine visibility have come apart.

Türkiye’s software industry is large and growing: TÜBİSAD puts the software segment at 339.4 billion TL for 2024, up 64% year on year, with IT software exports up 98%. Measured by what answer engines actually surface, it looks like a different industry — one made of game studios, payment infrastructure and IT integrators, with the vendors that sell business software to Turkish companies largely absent.

This is the first report in our series built on Brantial’s own measurement rather than a synthesis of published research.

Methodology

First-party measurement

The ranking below is a snapshot of the Brantial AI Authority Index: unbranded, category-level prompts are run weekly across the answer engines in our panel — including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Mistral — and brands spontaneously named in the answers are scored. Scores are normalised to 100, where 100 is the most visible brand in the sector that week.

Two definitions matter for reading the table. Visibility score measures how often and how prominently a brand is named across the sector’s prompt set — not market share, revenue or quality. Top engine is the engine on which that brand is most visible; it is a per-brand maximum, not a statement about engine market share in Türkiye.

Limitations, stated plainly

The index measures the sector’s prompt set, not every query a buyer might ask. Sector taxonomy is ours. Answers are non-deterministic, so single-week positions move; the patterns below are what survive that movement, and the snapshot date is published with the table.

Snapshot: August 2026. Median score 14.29.

Finding 1: The sector’s visible half is consumer-facing

Grouping the twelve by what they sell produces a clear split. Payments infrastructure takes 35% of total visibility across two brands (iyzico, Craftgate). Game studios take 29.4% across six brands (Peak, Gram, Rollic, Masomo, Bigger, MadByte). IT services and integration take 32.2% across three (İnnova, OBSS, KoçSistem). A single product SaaS company, Jotform, holds the remaining 3.5%.

What is not there is the category that employs the most people and sells to the most businesses: enterprise software. Logo Yazılım — listed on Borsa İstanbul, the first Turkish IT company to go public, stating more than 200,000 customers — does not appear in the ranked twelve. Neither do the other domestic ERP and business-software vendors.

Finding 2: Visibility concentrates faster than the market does

The top three brands hold 69.2% of total sector visibility; the top two hold 57.3%. iyzico scores 100 and İnnova 67.35, then the curve falls sharply: the median brand scores 14.29, and the bottom of the ranked list sits near 2.

A market with hundreds of software companies resolves, in answer engines, to a shortlist where two names carry most of the weight. This is the concentration our first-two-slots report described in general terms, measured here in one Turkish sector.

Finding 3: The visible brands share a corpus, not a category

The brands in the table have little in common commercially — a payments provider, six game studios, three integrators. What they share is a body of third-party, English-language coverage that answer engines can read.

The game studios were acquired in transactions that generated substantial international reporting: Zynga acquired Peak Games for approximately $1.8 billion (2020), Gram Games for $250 million (2018) and an 80% stake in Rollic for around $180 million (2020); Masomo was acquired by Miniclip. iyzico was acquired by PayU for $165 million (2019). Each transaction produced press coverage, analyst commentary, encyclopaedia entries and follow-up articles — exactly the niche and specialist sources that, as our source ecosystem report documented, supply the overwhelming majority of citations.

Enterprise software vendors selling domestically through direct relationships generate comparatively little of that corpus. Their customers do not write public comparisons; their category has no equivalent flow of acquisition news; and their web presence is often Turkish-only, which narrows the pool of sources further.

Interpretation, labelled as such: the correlation here is visible in the data; the causal claim is ours. What the measurement shows is that visibility tracks published third-party evidence more closely than it tracks commercial scale.

Finding 4: One engine dominates this sector’s visibility

Nine of the twelve brands are most visible on Mistral, with Perplexity accounting for two and Gemini one. Across all 12 sectors in the index — 173 ranked brands — the same pattern is broad but not uniform: Mistral is the top engine for 47.4% of brands, Grok for 18.5%, Gemini 13.3%, ChatGPT 12.7%, Perplexity 7.5% and Claude 0.6%, and the dominant engine changes by sector (Gemini leads finance and banking; Grok leads healthcare and retail).

This is our divergence thesis confirmed on Turkish data: a brand’s visibility is engine-shaped, and a single-number “AI visibility” claim conceals which engine produced it. A software brand measuring only ChatGPT is measuring the engine where this sector is least represented.

What a vendor can do with this

Publish the evidence the sector lacks. In a category with little third-party coverage, structured first-party documentation — specifications, pricing logic, implementation detail, customer outcomes with dates — is the corpus. Our enterprise agents report sets out what makes such material extractable.

Measure per engine before acting. Given the distribution above, an enterprise software vendor should know its position on Mistral and Gemini, not only on ChatGPT.

Treat absence as measurable, not mysterious. Not appearing in the ranked twelve is a diagnosable state: blocked crawlers, unstructured pages, no independent corroboration, Turkish-only presence. Each is auditable; none requires guessing.

The takeaway

Sector size and answer-engine visibility have come apart in Turkish software. The brands that appear are the ones with a public, machine-readable evidence trail — built largely by acquisitions and international coverage rather than by domestic commercial success. For enterprise vendors, that is not a barrier of scale but of publishing: the corpus that would make them citable does not exist yet, and nothing except they themselves is going to write it.
