Which Women's Fashion Brands Win in AI Search?
We asked 1,000 unbranded, commercial-intent questions to three AI models at once: Gemini, GPT and Grok. The answers named 1,695 distinct brands, 25,543 times in total. On Google a user scans ten blue links and decides; in AI they get one shortlist of three to five names. The brands on that list win — the rest never existed for that buyer. This report measures how that invisible shelf is stocked.

The query universe
Five intent categories, all unbranded
01 / METHODOLOGY
A thousand questions, five intents, three models
The goal was to measure brands not by their own names but in the language of the real buying moment: no query contains a brand name, and all carry commercial intent.
Purchase intent
Ready-to-buy questions: “I want a quality women’s basic tee — which brands should I look at?”
Pre-purchase research
The undecided user hunting a best-of list: “What are the best women’s basic tee brands?”
Comparison and price-value
Queries stuck between two options plus budget-driven ones: linen or woven; which brands under a set budget?
Product attribute
Specific needs — fabric, cut, colour: “Which brands make a non-sheer white tee?” Every category fanned out into dozens of product groups.
02 / CRITICAL FINDINGS
The ranking is the visible part; the action is in these four findings
The summit is a fortress: 10 brands take 34% of visibility
Only 10 of 1,695 brands collect more than a third of all mentions. AI answers are top-heavy; a few names repeat endlessly. Entering the top 10 is not a threshold — it is a fortress.
The long tail is vast: 845 brands were named exactly once
Nearly half the brands surfaced once across a thousand queries — for AI they effectively do not exist. The middle is thin: you are either in the fortress or invisible.
75% of brands appear on only one model
The starkest finding: 1,266 of 1,695 brands surface on a single model; only 195 appear consistently on all three. 'We show up in AI' is not enough — the question is 'in which AI?' Single-model visibility is fragile visibility.
Models do not see the same brand the same way: a local-global split
The split is Gemini 39%, GPT 31%, Grok 30% — but it widens per brand. Gemini favours Turkish brands: 401 of İpekyol's 543 mentions and 372 of Network's 472 come from Gemini alone. Grok and GPT lean global: only 40 of Uniqlo's 454 mentions are on Gemini. A GEO strategy cannot be one-size-fits-all.
03 / THE RANKING
The 10 most visible women’s fashion brands in AI
The top 10 within 25,543 total brand citations across three models. Global chains dominate the summit, followed closely by a strong Turkish cluster.
Buyers no longer ask Google “which brand should I get” — they ask an AI directly. A brand that misses the three-to-five-name shortlist is entirely outside that purchase decision. You cannot grow what you do not measure — and most brands are not measuring AI visibility at all.
